Judo & Jujitsu
Jujitsu We teach Kodenkan Danzan Ryu Jujitsu Professor Ryan is a 7th Dan and holds the title of Professor with the American Judo & Jujitsu Federation Judo We teach Kodenkan Danzan Ryu Judo. Our curriculum is based on the boards of Master H. S. Okazaki. Many of today's players come from the roots of his system. In 1947 Master Okazaki held the first tournament outside of Japan after WWII. His team did not fare well against the Hawaiian Kodokan Judo people. He requested an individual to come to the islands from the Kodokan. It did not happen as the cost was to much. The DZR folks began training hard for Judo. Each year they improved until in 1953 at the first AAU Judo Championships, the Hawaiian team took first place.
